National Plant Hire company are looking for a Workshop Supervisor at their Hemel Hempstead depot.

Responsibilities:

This role will be split between supervising the team and being on the tools.

Co-ordinating a team of maintenance fitters to ensure assets are maintained

Ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times

Processing customer damage/loss notifications

Servicing and preventative maintenance of plant assets.

Assistance with technical fault finding in both hydraulic and electrical fields.

Passing on technical knowledge to other members of staff. Including training.

Working closely with apprentices whilst carrying out repairs.

Ensuring workshop administration work is completed, signed off and filed in a timely manner

Role Requirements:

Good communicator

Previous leadership experience is desirable although consideration will be given to somebody with the right aptitude

Previous experience in construction plant maintenance is essential

NVQ Level 3 plant maintenance qualification is desirable, but applicants who are time served will be equally considered.

Flexibility to work with other members of staff including apprentices

Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office

Full UK driving licence
