The role may specialise in mechanical, avionic, composite specialties and more with opportunities to teach in the workshop, classroom, and the hangar environment. Training is delivered to Apprentices undergoing initial basic training and more experienced industry professionals looking to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Avionic/B2 Technical Instructor - Main Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to the functions detailed below, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required. In addition, key objectives and targets will be set/established and agreed on appointment.

The theoretical and practical delivery of client’s training products, striving to ensure that you meet customer satisfaction key performance indicators (KPI) and targets.


The ongoing update, maintenance and editing of client training material to include approved course notes, PowerPoint presentations and other data ensuring compliance with internal process whilst doing so.


Development and innovation of training products and material to ensure client remains at the forefront of training for the industry.


EASA Approved Examiner and Invigilator duties as required by the client’s Training Manager and subject to successful qualification for the role.


The ongoing update, maintenance and editing of the client’s examination database.


Avionic/B2 Technical Instructor - Qualifications:

A recognised apprenticeship in avionic maintenance or appropriate academic teaching qualification dependent on the subject matter area to be instructed.
Minimum 5 years industry experience.
A good working knowledge of MS Office.
Terms & Conditions:

Full Time permanent

Salary £46K - £54K based on qualifications and experience.

The higher end of the pay scale applies to those holding all EASA or UKCAA, Cat B Part 66 modules or an appropriate technical/academic degree. Further salary uplifts are available for field-based positions and dual qualification as a Technical Instructor and Apprenticeship Assessor.

25 days paid annual leave plus public holidays, company pension and cycle to work scheme,

Avionic/B2 Technical Instructor - Qualifications and experience:

Technical instructing or teaching qualification.

Note: Persons not holding a technical instructing or teaching qualification can apply and will be assessed for potential with technical instruction training provided for successful candidates.

An appropriate qualification in aviation/avionic maintenance.

Minimum 5 years industry experience.

A good working knowledge of MS Office.

Clean driving licence.

Must be able to satisfy an enhanced DBS check.
