To take responsibility for the recruitment of HGV Drivers Class 1 & 2 ensuring the Company has the required number of drivers at anyone time to ensure business needs are met

Establish Driver (HGV) recruitment needs for the various depots.

Develop and lead the day-to-day driver recruiting process and act as a resource on all point of the recruitment cycle.

Prepare suitable job advertisements.

Creative sourcing and development of a pool of qualified applicants through the use of traditional and non-traditional techniques including Social Media, Job Boards, company Website.

Conducting interviews of potential candidates to determine qualifications and experience, this to include phone screening and interviews.

Liaise with Driver agencies to source suitable candidate and negotiate the best “deal” for the Company.

Maintain and update candidate database and follow up with applicants to advise on application progress.

Carry out Driver Inductions in line with Company Induction Programme.

Ensure compliance with recruitment policies, standards and regulations.
