Our client in tandem with government and the broader employment support community across the UK is working hard to make sure they support as many individuals as possible to get and keep a job. To help in this mission they are looking to expand their employability services Work and Health Programme Job Entry: Targeted Support (WHP/JETS) and need a Head of Work and Health Programme (JETS) to lead the contract delivery of services supporting people to change their lives positively through finding work.
Reporting directly to the Contract Director, the role will be responsible for the leadership of the Work and Health Programme (JETS ) delivery. The role will ensure all operational delivery is operated safely, efficiently and achieves or exceeds performance expectations.
We need a person with a background in management, budgeting and delivery of continuous improvement. Working with key stakeholders, the successful individual would have a proven track record of achieving objectives through strong relationship management. A solution focussed approach, which enables risks and issues to be minimised is ideal, as is the ability to make decisions based on analytical assumptions.
This is a complex and challenging operations management role, which requires strong management and contract delivery skills. The post holder has responsibility for the efficient, effective and evidence-based delivery of excellent performance in all services measured against contractual requirements.
The ideal candidate must have an understanding of the local and regional labour market and employment issues within two geographical areas – Central England, Home Counties able to maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the benefit system and entitlements.

Home Based but prepared to travel as necessary within the Central England and Home Counties areas.
Provide strategic leadership and management to ensure highly effective operational delivery across the Trust’s JETS Work and Health Programme Contracts.
Provide highly effective line management to Operational Leaders within the Work and Health Programme (JETS) Including Operations Managers and Regional Employer Managers.
Ensure that all services/contracts meet or exceed performance and contractual targets, putting in place remedial action as required.
Meeting or exceeding all required external standards as part of compliance audits and reviews, ensuring clear continuous improvement plans are development and followed. JD/ Head of Work and Health Programme
Ensure the collation and distribution of performance data including narratives highlighting areas for improvement in relations to all internal and external delivery of the Work and Health Programme (JETS)
Promote performance management to drive continuous improvement throughout internal and external delivery.
Communicate and motivate team(s) to enable all employees to achieve and realise their true potential, ensuring that succession and continuity planning is in place for all roles and levels.
Monitor and manage operational budgets and take corrective action if required.
Promote effective relationships between internal and external delivery and all local stakeholders, in particular JCP, Local Authorities and supply chain partners.
