Field Engineering Supervisor

To deliver exceptional leadership and guidance to the field engineering team, trouble shooting and supervising engineering installations, testing and commissioning and supporting with stores, tools and vehicle management.  Ensuring onsite project completion sign off, quality and safety checks are completed according to schedule and ERS callout is managed to meet client demand. 

Supporting the delivery Manager with day-to-day activities 

  • To work in a professional manner always acting as an ambassador of the company.
  • Always follow all Health and Safety guidelines, working closely with SHEQ Manager to accurately report on the engineering teams activities and carry out live audits.
  • Ensure quality of Workmanship from our engineering team
  • Care of company equipment and property, carrying out audits.
  • Supervising the Installation and testing of optic fibre networks
  • Supervising the Installation of internal and external fibre within commercial or residential properties
  • Supervise the Installation of internal or external cable containment.
  • Experienced working in POP/FEX sites.
  • Compiling Hard or Soft copy of test results
  • Compiling Hard or Soft copy of “As builts”
  • Detailed daily project reports to project manager/Co-ord or Delivery manager as appropriate  
  • Auditing equipment, cable or cable core labelling to customer requirements.
  • Ability to review, implement / change work pack instructions.
  • Flexible working approach to the working day and location
  • Training of engineers both onsite and in a classroom environment 
  • Mentor to engineers allowing them to succeed in their role 
  • Onsite retrospective and real time quality checks 
  • Onsite Safety checks 
  • Production of redline mark ups if required
  • A55 submissions and Audit blockages.
  • Experienced working on Openreach & City Fibre networks
  • DFE booking practices


  • Min 10 years leadership experience in different Telecom technologies 
  • Good written and verbal English language 
  • Experienced installation and Fault-finding knowledge 
  • NRSWA supervisor Accredited unit 2 & LA avoidance of underground plant
  • Competent in MS Office 
  • Knowledge of GIS systems 
  • Solution Focused
  • SA001 / SA002

Driving licence 


  • PIA accreditations, K8, N23, N28, S5, S6, S7, S8
