Our client who provides next level support for the telecoms industry due to continued growth, are now recruiting experienced Cabling Engineers to join their fast-growing team. This is an integral role in their mission to provide quality services across the telecoms industry. You will be driven by delivering exceptional quality and have the right skills and attitude to be able to carry out installations as instructed by the clients work pack and to company standards.

They work with both optical and copper fibre installations both in the Midlands and nationally, giving you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Installation of optic fibre cabling and sub duct
• Installation of internal and external fibre within commercial or residential properties
• Cable recovery
• Hard or Soft copy of “As builts”
• Detailed daily project reports to Project Manager/Coordinator or Field Supervisor as appropriate
• Equipment, cable, or cable core labelling to customer requirements
• Ability to implement work pack instruction’s
• Production of redline mark ups if required
• A55 submissions
• DFE booking practices
• Test rod and rope
• Experience working in POP/FEX
• Ensure quality of personal workmanship

Required:

• Min 1 year fibre installation experience
• Experienced working on Openreach or City Fibre networks
• Good written and verbal English language
• NRSWA Accredited Unit 2
• PIA accreditations, K8, S6, S7
• Blown fibre cable installation
• SA002
• Must hold a valid driving licence – no more than 6 points

Desirable:

• Competent using MS Office
• SA001
