We are recruiting for a Skills Development Manager to cover all brands across the group of companies.

Location: Field Based


- To support the delivery of a robust, professional skills business that delivers Best In Class service to both internal and external clients whilst withstanding the scrutiny of ESFA & OFSTED

Key Responsibilities:

- Recruit and manage a team of Skills Coaches who are responsible for the assessment and on-going advice and guidance of an apprentice caseload
- Conduct monthly learner caseload reviews to ensure progress is being effectively monitored and SMART learner targets are set
- Ensure learners achievements successfully meet both overall and timely success rate expectations and to undertake appropriate interventions where necessary
- Assist in quality processes; actively participate in 'best practice' meetings for your area of responsibility and standardisation meetings
- Provide monthly performance update on learners to Director Of Excellence
- Meet with Business Operation Managers monthly to monitor and review learner progress, achievement and the learner journey
- Work in collaboration with Quality Assurance, Director of Continuous Improvement and Director of Excellence to ensure the quality of provision through quality systems and procedures
- Challenge current practices and processes to ensure the business consistently delivers best in class service
- Support the achievement rates of learners exceed the sector/area of learning national averages
- Lead on the design of the curriculum, ensuring that appropriate resources, lesson plans and schemes of work are in place
- Perform ongoing review of the curriculum, reflecting on employability skills development and engagement opportunities for learners
- Build and develop effective working relationships with employers, operational leaders and key stakeholders
- Take responsibility for your own continued professional development to ensure you retain currency and stay up to date with key changes within your area of delivery
- Ensure programme delivery is deemed as `Good` via IQA observations and external inspection judgments
- Promote and embed health and safety, British Values, equality and diversity and safeguarding of learners as essential parts of the delivery framework or standard

Required Knowledge & Experience

- Experience of working in a similar role within an apprenticeship/training provider
- Experience of working to KPIs and SLAs in a timely and achievement driven environment
- Understanding of qualification structures and curriculum design
- Ability to demonstrate, have an understanding of, a commitment to, and awareness of the practical applications of: safeguarding, prevent, equality and diversity
- Experience of facilitating workshops with strong presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- A self-starter with excellent planning and prioritising capabilities and able to cope with multiple demands effectively
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and taking personal responsibility and ownership of tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple levels and functions of the organisation and with internal and external stakeholders
- Good networking and influencing skills with the ability to develop and grow sustainable relationships
- A team player who is goal-orientated and able to work autonomously while managing their own remit whilst working collaboratively with colleagues
