Are you an organised individual with experience of working in Health and Safety? Due to company expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our client, who is a national plant hire company.

You will be responsible for carrying out regular safety and compliance audits and work alongside the depot teams to implement corrective actions. You will also ensure any incidents, near misses, dangerous occurrence and/or environmental incident are accurately reported and investigated in a timely manner. You will also identify hazards, associated risks, and conduct risk assessments and COSHH assessments with employees.

You will be competent and knowledgeable in the plant hire industry.

This is a hands-on role, and you will need to have NEBOSH /NVQ in Health and Safety certification and the ability to supervise health and safety 'from the front'. 

Essential:

• Previous experience of managing Health and Safety, ideally within a constructions/plant hire environment.
• Working knowledge of a health and safety management system or equivalent
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Experience of using Microsoft packages
• Ability to engage with employees and drive improvements across the location
• NEBOSH General Health and Safety Certificate or equivalent
• Full UK driving license
• Be able to work part of a team as well as independently
• Always ensure work is completed to a high standard
